My Story
I started the company in 2016 after 12 years in the GIS industry.
At that point I had substantial experience working for a consultancy in the energy sector, having worked in a great variety of GIS projects. I started with ArcMap but by 2015, I was working with ArcGIS Pro and had experience working with the ESRI Enterprise System.
As Database Manager, I was responsible for creating and maintaining the datasets needed for the various energy projects as well as producing the geospatial end products that included:

Creating maps and GIS analysis

Large charts (A0/A1) and figures for reports (A4/A3)

Data packages
-
Data conversions (for other software) including CRS conversion

Advise on geodetic transformations and data accuracy

From 2017 – 2020, I then worked for a small Swedish- based oil company with a couple of producing fields in Africa and the Baltic region. I was brough in post-installation of the ESRI enterprise system to

develop and manage the enterprise platform
-
migrate all existing GIS (from data dumps in folders) to the new enterprise system, creating new database and metadata rules)
-
develop the ESRI Portal
-
train all relevant staff in use of the new platform
-
create easy to use portal maps and apps (using the ArcGIS Web App Builder)
-
create standards for GIS work practices and symbology
-
provide continuous GIS support and training
In 2020, for about 5 years, I then worked for a large British energy company on two substantial modernization projects.
The first project involved a comprehensive modernization of the charting system to the latest ESRI software (ArcGIS Pro) in line with industry best practice
The project included:

Providing new templates for ArcGIS Pro including layouts with full automation.

Sde schema layer naming and naming in the maps

Official symbology for all layers
-
Official labelling rules
-
New chart numbering system
-
New chart management library system in SharePoint
-
New FME workflows for CAD charts – including all transformation needed for:

Clipping, Generalizing, Filtering, Symbolizing (using seed file), Labelling and Automated upload of exports to SharePoint library with metadata

Product owner for several strategic layers
The second project involved developing a modernized Response app using ESRI Experience Builder.
This included:

Compile and assemble a comprehensive list of strategic and tactical response layers
-
Design and create templates for:
-
Tactical layers including all field names, alias, field types and domain types
-
Symbology, grouping, labelling for all layers – ready for publishing on regional portals
-
Experience Builder app with all connections, widget controller, widgets, layouts, buttons, links, tables, panels etc

Field Maps and Survey 123 apps

Custom create widgets with developer team

Testing for performance issues

Oversee and provide guidance for all regional deployment of the template
